The Fall TV season is wrapping up as
Thursday marked the end of the hit Canadian series Flashpoint. The
series finale of the popular police drama was seen by 2.1 million
viewers according to a CTV press release:
Toronto, ON (December 14, 2012) – CTV’s trailblazing hit Original Drama FLASHPOINT came to a conclusion with its biggest audience ever last night: a series-high 2.1 million viewers. Closing out the final season with an average audience of 1.8 million viewers, last night’s emotional and historic finale propelled the Canadian series to a final 10 p.m. timeslot win in total viewers and all key demos over its simulcast American competition, and making it the most-watched broadcast of a Canadian series in 18 months.* Overall, 12.5 million Canadians watched FLASHPOINT in its fifth and final season.
An average series viewership of 1.8
million is remarkable for a Canadian television program. During the last season,
however, the average audience level is noticeably lower at 1.53
